Has it ever happened to you...
Well let me share with you a secret technique I use to always have something else to say and to never run out of topics.
I call it Free Flow™
So how does it work?
LISTEN to what they are saying.
Use the last thing they say and form a question.
So what made you want to do that?
Then ASK another question.
Then add a COMMENT.
So let's think about the mistakes people make when making conversation.
Not caring what people say. In other words, not being INTERESTED.
Being TOO interested and making the person feel like you're interrogating them.
The "Right" Way
Think of a conversation like a living, breathing thing.
So what do you do?
They say: I go to school... I actually study law.
Oh wow that's interesting. So what made you want to study that?
I heard many people study law because they watched a lot of law TV shows as kids and they thought it'll be cool...but then they get surprised.
And now you add another question...
Is that what happened to you too? :)
You want to think of it as knitting (go on youtube and look it up for reference).
It's a process of doing it again, and again, and again.
